UON 60 YEARS
The University of Newcastle’s 60th anniversary is an opportunity to re-engage with audiences, showcase the past, share the vision for the fututre, and highlight achievements for alumni, staff and partners. Established in 1965, my 60-year anniversary badge taps into 60’s art deco style honouring the decade of when the University was born. The two circles uniform, and symmetrical nature promises connection, growth and even the allure of the infinite. In addition to 60 years of looking ahead these circles can be seen as two eyes.
The University’s community is one that fought for the establishment and built the Great Hall brick by brick. This symbol encourages growth and continuity, with strong building foundations for the future.
